Application for Mademoiselle Desserts Weert

Because the operators within MDW still work with paper registration forms, it is difficult to implement a digital twin on a short-term because of the reliability of the data from the production process. Even though digital twin technology could create good opportunities for MDW as listed before in the pros, MDW is probably not ready yet for implementing such a new technology. The best way MDW could implement digital twin on the long term is by using it for enhanced quality control and to reduce cost. In the present situation there relatively much variation in the thickness of filling and fondant which leads to waste and rejection of the end product. A digital twin can help reduce the waste of filling and fondant by simulating the pressure within the Mondo mixer. The Mondo mixer is a mixer next to the production line that makes the filling and fondant. This way, there is less waste and less rejection in product quality control because the filling and fondant come out of the mixer with the right thickness.

In conclusion, it is good for smaller production companies to strive for a situation in which this technology can be implemented. In fact, digital twin technology can be particularly beneficial for smaller companies as it can help them to optimize their production processes, improve quality control, and reduce costs. However, the need for such a system in terms of safety, reliability, and expertise must be carefully considered.
